Officers responded immediately and when they arrived located a 25-year-old female with injuries sustained by a knife.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.
While on scene, police received a report of second stabbing at a residence on 2nd Avenue NE.
Witnesses provided a description of a male suspect to officers. Dauphin RCMP, with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), began patrols immediately and quickly located the 31-year-old suspect.
He was arrested without further incident and PDS Marook located the weapon believed to be used in the attacks.

Both victims were not known to the suspect. There is no risk to public safety as it’s believed the suspect acted alone.
Dauphin RCMP along with Forensic Identification Services (FIS) continue to investigate.
