  • West Hawk Lake - McDougall's Landing, Big Island Landing, Indian Bay

The following areas remain closed:

  • Crowduck Lake
  • Big Whiteshell Lake
  • Caddy Lake - Blocks 1, 2, 5 and public boat launch at Block 4
  • Florence Lake
  • Nora Lake
  • Ophir Siding
  • Caddy Lake Tunnels

Closures include all subdivisions, commercial areas, campgrounds, group-use, day-use, picnic areas, playgrounds, trails, beaches, and backcountry routes in these areas.

According to Manitoba Parks, campgrounds at Brereton, Caddy, West Hawk, and White lakes are expected to reopen Friday at 4 pm.

The fire near Ingolf continues to burn out of control. As of Monday, it covered approximately 5,060 hectares on the Manitoba side of the border. The total size of the fire is 39,068 hectares. Fire growth has continued, though suppression is ongoing.

Crews from Manitoba, Parks Canada, and BC are working in the Hello Lake, Doreen Lake, and Indian Lake areas, targeting hot spots with aerial suppression and ground teams. Sprinkler systems remain in place and are maintained by Southeast Whiteshell Fire Department.

A reminder that all airspace near wildfires is restricted. Flying drones near fires is illegal and dangerous. If spotted, all aerial suppression must be grounded.

Level 3 Fire and Travel Restrictions remain in place across the Whiteshell. Open fires are not permitted, backcountry travel is prohibited, and all trails are closed.
