A 30 year old Winnipeg man has be arrested and charged in connection with a series of commercial break, enter and thefts in Carman over the past month.

Pembina Valley RCMP were able to identify a suspect after reviewing video surveillance footage. Officers, Police Dog Services and the RCMP Emergency Response Team arrested Toban Roulette at a residence in Carman. He's been charged with multiple counts of Break and Enter (4x), Mischief Under $5,000 and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. Roulette has been remanded into custody.

The first break-in was May 4th when two suspects broke a window on a business on Main Street; the next occurred June 1st on 1st Street Southwest; the third was June 2nd on 4th Avenue Southwest and the last was June 3rd  when officers responded to a break and enter in progress at the same business on 1 Street Southwest.

May 4th, 2025, at 1:30 am - two suspects broke a window at a business on Main Street but left the scene before entering.

June 1st, 2025, at approximately 1:15 am - officers responded to a report of break-in at a business on 1st Street SW.  When officers arrived, the door had been damaged, and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.
 
June 2nd, 2025, at approximately 1:00 am - officers attended a business on 4th Avenue SW after a report of an alarm. A glass door had been smashed, and a golf club used in the break-in was left behind. Alcohol was stolen off the premises.
 
June 3th, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am - officers attended a break-and-enter in progress at the same business on 1st Street SW. Officers, along with RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), attended but were unable to locate the suspect after he fled on foot.

The investigation continues with RCMP still searching for a female suspect involved in some of the incidents.
