ROSETOWN, Sask. — Rosetown RCMP dealt with a range of incidents from May 29 to June 5, 2025, including erratic driving, threats, and ongoing investigations into fraud and harassment, according to a recent media release.
On May 29, police received a complaint about erratic driving on Highway 7 but were initially unable to locate the vehicle. Later that evening, after receiving a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) from Kindersley regarding a similar report near McGee, RCMP intercepted the driver. The individual was charged with refusal to comply and impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Throughout the week, RCMP attended several investigations including an uttering threats complaint in Rosetown on May 30 and another threat against property reported in the Rural Municipality of Marriott on June 4. A harassment complaint from Kyle on May 31 and a Facebook-related fraud case remain under active investigation.
There were also multiple well-being checks in Rosetown and Elrose, a suspicious person report near Tessier that required no further action, and complaints related to potential scams involving gift cards. In total, officers issued 65 traffic-related charges and responded to a handful of 911 mis-dials and a false alarm.
