A longstanding business in Kindersley celebrated a first this past week.
June 4 marked the first ever 'National Brokers Day', and Kelly Insurance in Kindersley ushered in the day by wearing their "Broker's Care Campaign" sweaters in line with fellow members of the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan.
"Broker's Care" isn't just a campaign slogan.
It was created out of the group's penchant for helping out, specifically in charity and grassroots projects that target five main pillars: responding to the youth mental health crisis; enhancing equitable access to children’s learning and development opportunities; providing comfort, care, and hope to sick kids; eliminating food insecurity for at-risk youth; and empowering communities.
The Broker's Care campaign raises 100 per cent of its money through voluntary contributions. Donations typically come from Saskatchewan brokers, brokerage businesses, and partners in the insurance industry, the funds coming from different avenues like IBAS events, sponsorship and other special initiatives, and also direct donations.
IBAS has 1800 member licensees across Saskatchewan, working tirelessly to serve their communities, especially right now with the ongoing wildfire situation.
