The Southeast is full of life this weekend with Niverville fair drawing in people from surrounding communities.
Niverville fair featured rides, food vendors, an outdoor market, a KidZone, a petting zoo, and so much more.
Volunteers at the event note that the event used to feel like a family gathering. In more recent years its a place to meet new people.
One of the Volunteers Mandy, says that the fair has grown tremendously as the communities get bigger.
“I have lived in Niverville my whole life and I saw when this fair was a tiny little street fair, and we had free food and just mostly locals. And now it is a crazy weekend of full of people and just fun meeting people in the streets. And yeah, good time.”
While selling wrist bands, volunteers have the opportunity to see many familiar faces from the community.
“I love just meeting the people that I haven't seen in forever or don't usually connect with.”
Another volunteer, Alice, says that it is great to see the support this event brings.
“It's great and you know it couldn't be run without the volunteers. So, I really super enjoy seeing the growth and what a good job the Fair Committee does.”
