Steinbach RCMP responded to an incident at Bethesda Regional Health Centre Sunday afternoon.
Bethesda Hospital Lockdown
In an RCMP report Monday, June 9, 10:22 am, it was confirmed that they were dispatched to attend the scene at 12:58 pm on June 8, 2025, from an unknown female self-identified as “Allie”.
She called from a phone App with an Ohio prefix, stating she was frustrated by hospital staff and was on her way to fight with them, and that police would have to “clean up after her”.
The report says that police were able to make phone contact with the female, but she refused to provide details about who she was, what her specific concerns were or cooperate in any useful manner.
Steinbach hospital staff initiated internal safety protocols while members attended the hospital to assist with providing security while the investigation ensued.
In further discussions with the female, police determined there was no credible imminent threat to staff or the hospital.
Investigation continues.
