Hope Bridges Society is getting ready to host a free community concert.
The show takes place on Tuesday (June 10), as the group welcomes country singer Michela Sheedy.
Janice Littlefair is the coordinator with the Hope Bridges Society, and she explained why they chose Sheedy.
"Michela is a Calgary-based country singer-songwriter. She's a familiar face to many people, because she sings the national anthem at the Calgary Flames games and has done that since 2017. She's also a performer in her own right and has performed alongside legends like Keith Urban and has played in festivals like Country Thunder, Big Valley Jaboree, and Nashville North."
The concert will run from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hope Covenant Church.
The organization will also be hosting more free community concerts in the coming months, bringing artists like Justine Gilles and Brettyn Rose.
