The Saskatchewan Day of Caring Radiothon, raising funds for the Canadian Red Cross, is coming up on Thursday.

In Manitoba, their Day of Caring event just finished and raised an incredible $419,000+, that amount including the donations matched by both the Federal and Provincial governments. Now this week it's Saskatchewan's turn to raise funds & awareness to support families displaced by provincial wildfires, the money once again being government matched in support of Red Cross and the 2025 Saskatchewan Wildfires Appeal.

The money raised helps with emergency assistance, recovery support, and future preparedness for impacted communities, and radio stations all across the province are set to take part. These channels will have all the information necessary for people to donate, and even more content can be accessed through their social media handles.

People can already donate online through the Red Cross website, or by texting RADIO to 45678 for a $10 donation. To date, over $650,000 has been raised for the 2025 Saskatchewan Wildfires Appeal, that total not including matched contributions from the federal government.

Tune in to Country 104 and Classic Hits Radio on Thursday to learn more about the ongoing wildfires and how you can help. Learn more about wildfire preparedness HERE.
