The Town of Biggar was a busy place this past weekend.
Taking place alongside a toe-tapping good time in the community was a slo-pitch tournament, and Sunday mini-marathon from the local elementary school, and the local RCMP were happy to report the day went off without a hitch.
"Saturday was busy with lots of traffic in town for the old-time polka dance, while others braved the winds for a ball tournament. It appeared everyone enjoyed their visit to Biggar with no police related issues to report."
As the RCMP remained on standby Friday and Saturday, they helped out on Sunday by providing traffic safety for a group of runners.
Thankfully the weather cooperated a little better on Sunday for the Color Run that took place," said Crozier, sharing that the route began at St Gabriel School, before passing around the walking trail, moving down 3 Avenue in Biggar, before ending up back at school. "Assistance with traffic control was provided at the busier intersection crossings for awareness and safety of all participates and motorists."
Police in Biggar love to see their community happy, and appreciate whenever they can let the good times proceed without having to intervene.
