Police in Drumheller made a significant drug seizure earlier this week.

On Wednesday (June 11) officers stopped a vehicle along Highway 56. Police checks revealed that the driver had an outstanding warrant out of Edmonton.

Police say that they discovered what is believed to be methamphetamine while dealing with the vehicle's passengers. This led to all occupants being arrested and the vehicle being searched.

According to RCMP, they discovered:

  • Over a pound of suspected methamphetamine.
  • 600 pills of various types.
  • A large quantity of cash.
  • Two firearms, one of which was loaded.
  • Suspected cannabis and cocaine.
  • Various weapons.

Sheldon Bylan, 49, Mitchell Sydlowski, 34, and Harvey Beeler, 73, have been charged with numerous offenses, including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3).
  • Possess restricted firearm & ammunition.
  • Unauthorized possession of firearm.
  • Possessing a dangerous weapon.
  • Breaches of their court orders.

All three remain in custody with a court date set in Drumheller for Friday.
