Midcan Powersports is carving out a fresh path for motorsport lovers in the Southeast. Officially opening its doors on March 1, the new dealership has taken over BRP sales and service from Enns Brothers, setting up shop at 260 Park Road West in Steinbach. Focused exclusively on BRP products – including ATVs, Ski-Doos, and side-by-sides – Midcan is a one-stop destination for outdoor adventure gear.

"We saw a lot of potential for a dedicated Can-Am dealership," says general manager Candace Smith, who made the move from FFUN Motorsports in Portage la Prairie. "Now, parts, service and sales are all under one roof, and completely focused on BRP."

Experience-driven team

Both Smith and sales manager Riley Peattie bring years of experience and enthusiasm to the new venture. Having previously worked with BRP products at Enns Brothers, they were eager to join the newly formed Midcan team and bring a more personalized experience to customers.

"With Enns Brothers being primarily a John Deere dealer, the BRP line never really had the spotlight," Peattie explains. "Here, we can focus on BRP entirely. That means better inventory, more accessories, and a customer experience that really reflects our passion for the brand."

Grand opening highlights

To officially celebrate its launch, Midcan Powersports is hosting a grand opening event on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration promises something for everyone, including food trucks from Bigg Smoak BBQ, lemonade and donut vendors, and deep discounts on gear.

"We'll have at least 20% off in-stock accessories," says Smith. "Plus, some non-current stock from the move will be marked down by 50 to 75%. It's going to be like a giant garage sale."

The team also plans to offer unit sales during the event and is encouraging the community to stop by and check out everything the new dealership has to offer.

Passion that runs deep

For both Smith and Peattie, BRP isn't just a product line – it's a way of life. Smith enjoys summer rides, even if she admits she’s "not a fan of winter," while Peattie's background as a hunting and fishing guide gives him a deep appreciation for gear that can go the distance.

"I used BRP long before I ever sold it," Peattie says. "Now I get to reconnect with old customers and lodges and help them find the right fit for their outdoor adventures."

The enthusiasm is palpable. "You’re not just selling equipment," he adds. "You're selling fun – something people are genuinely excited about. It’s great to be a part of that."

And with their community-first approach, they’re not just selling machines – they're building connections.
