At approximately 2:20 pm, Oakbank RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 44, at Road 35E at Tyndall.

Further investigation has revealed that the SUV was travelling west on Highway 44, when the off-road vehicle attempted to cross the road northbound from Road 35E, striking the SUV on the front driver side.

The 39-year-old female driver of the SUV from Beausejour was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Her two female passengers, also from Beausejour, were not injured.

The driver of the off-road vehicle, a 42-year-old male from Winnipeg, was pronounced dead on scene. His passenger, a 32-year-old male from Winnipeg, was transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Oakbank RCMP, along with the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
