Grande Prairie City Council approved a five-year extension of Hansen Lincoln’s naming rights for the west turf field and grandstands located at the Community Knowledge Campus.
The agreement begins at the end of the current term and extends the naming rights of Hansen Lincoln Field through to 2032. The early extension provides funding for lighting improvements along the west side of the grandstands at the facility.
The new colour-changing solar lights are expected to enhance the visibility of wayfinding signage, improve safety and expand the rental use possibilities to include thematic and celebratory displays.
Naming rights agreements play a key role in enhancing community infrastructure by fostering partnerships between the City and local businesses. Through these collaborations, local organizations can give back in meaningful ways while supporting the growth of recreational spaces that promote wellness, pride and connection.
