Neufeld’s Garage hosted Adult and Teen Challange’s first-ever Transformation Tractor Ride.

The fundraiser included approximately 50 sponsored tractors driving to raise funds for a life free from addiction.

CEO of Adult and Teen Challenge, Daniel Emond, says that this fundraiser focuses on support from the Steinbach area.

“We really want to focus on raising support and awareness for all the great work that's happening in Steinbach.”

Emond was encouraged by the amount of support from the community.

“You know, when we took the big task of opening a new campus in Steinbach, my greatest worry was that we wouldn't be able to scale fast enough to raise the money to run the programs. And events like this are very, very encouraging.”

Emond says the large involvement from the community is crucial in showing how much people care about Adult and Teen Challenge.

“Knowing that God cares, and there's a community of amazing people that genuinely care about the work that we're doing. That's what this means. This is a community coming together to show their support in the fight against addiction and for Adult and Teen Challenge.”

The event began with a pancake breakfast, to fuel the drivers for their day. The participants then drove to Unger Meats for lunch, and back to the garage for a perogie dinner and wind-up celebration.

Emond says that events like these are important for connecting with people.

“We're going to hear real-life stories, that's what it's really all about. It's changed lives and lives that have been freed from addiction.”
