Another week of court proceedings started Monday morning in Rosetown, pertaining to the high-profile human trafficking trial taking place out of the West Central community.

Before court last broke on June 6, a brand-new set of disturbing allegations charted the course for another interesting week at Rosetown Provincial Court as the trial continues. New claims from the victim, whose name is unavailable under a publication ban, attempted to substantiate attempts at manipulation, coercion, and blackmail over a span of months at the hands of the accused Mohammed Masum.

Through a tearful account she uttered to the court that she "was afraid every day,” deciding to keep the experience a secret because of alleged threats, now stating that she felt a mix of relief and fear in finally sharing it publicly.

That information came following an intense session of cross examination, and now on Monday the defense will have a chance to cross-examine the complainant on the new set of allegations.

WestCentralOnline will continue to have updates as the case moves along. Find all of the details up to this point in the related articles section below.
