RCMP officers in Wilkie responded to a range of incidents during the week of June 17 to 23, including a dog bite complaint, a vehicle collision, and a wellbeing check.

According to the weekly RCMP report, a dog bite incident resulted in two bylaw tickets being issued to the animal’s owner. The extent of the injuries was not disclosed.

Police also attended a single-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Wilkie. The driver was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Officers conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a concerned family member and responded to a report of a person allegedly not complying with a court order. That complaint was found to be unfounded.

RCMP members also spoke with an individual regarding municipal bylaw concerns and handled one traffic complaint during the week.
