McDonalds Steinbach dropped by the radio station Wednesday afternoon with some new menu items from around the globe!
It's called McDonalds Menu Heist, and what they are doing is bringing international McDonalds recipes right to us.
Ryan Boyko with McDonalds Steinbach says, “Specifically, we’ve got Italy, we got Germany, Belgium, Austria, the UK, Japan, just to name a few. So yeah, it's very, very cool to have all those around.”
Boyko explains a few of the new menu items.
“We have the Big Rösti, which is the one from Germany. That one has a hash brown in it with some cheese sauce and bacon. It's pretty cool. From Japan, we have the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, but apparently a lot of customers have said that one is good, and then we have the Biscoff McFlurry.”
Boyko says a fan favourite so far has been the pizza bites from the Italian menu.
“I have people coming back like second third times during the day just to get them.”
There are also two new sauces, sweet tangy chili sauce, and garlic mayo.
Boyko says that staff are excited to work with so many new menu items.
“Definitely took the kitchen a second to figure everything out, but now it's a lot of fun. Now there's somebody here, they're all screaming.”
