The City of Grande Prairie is introducing a new Accessibility Pass to support individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities during lineups for carnival rides while ensuring everyone can enjoy a fun and welcoming Canada Day celebration at Muskoseepi Park.

The Accessibility Pass allows everyone to enjoy Canada Day to its fullest by ensuring people and families of people with physical or cognitive disabilities can go to the front of the line for carnival rides at the Canada Day celebration from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Canada Day event goers interested can register for a free Accessibility Pass in advance by contacting AccessGP at info@cityofgp.com or by calling 311 until June 30, 2025 at 6 p.m. No documentation is required for registration.

“Canada Day is a time to come together and celebrate the people who make our community strong,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “The new Accessibility Pass ensures everyone has the opportunity to fully participate in the festivities with comfort and ease. It’s one more way we’re building a city where everyone feels welcome, included and cared for.”
