Construction is now underway on the new Teepee Creek Fire Hall, a much-needed facility that will strengthen fire protection and emergency response for residents of Teepee Creek and the surrounding area.
With a growing roster of trained volunteer firefighters and a steady rise in emergency calls over the past decade, the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service Station #2 in Teepee Creek has outgrown its current space. The new, three-bay fire hall will provide the necessary infrastructure to support modern training, emergency response, and equipment storage—while improving response times and expanding support to neighboring communities such as Sexsmith, Bezanson, and Clairmont.
“This project is about building capacity for the future,” said Reeve Bob Marshall. “This new station will give our firefighters the space, tools, and support they need to continue protecting the community and surrounding areas with a high level of professionalism and care.”
The Teepee Creek Fire Hall has served the County for more than 20 years. Originally constructed as a single bay building to house a water tender for mutual aid support, a second bay was added to accommodate a brush truck, which has since been replaced with a larger, more modern unit.
The $4.5 million project is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2026.
