Approximately 300 copper-served customers in Kindersley have been experiencing SaskTel service outages this week, that according to the crown corporation in an update shared Thursday afternoon.
"The outage was caused by water, from the significant rain Kindersley received over the weekend, leaking into an underground splice point in the community." stated SaskTel on the cause of the issues. "Our crews have removed the standing water from the area and are working to dry out the cabling and infrastructure. Once everything is completely dried, SaskTel will work to repair any cabling or infrastructure that was damaged due to the water."
SaskTel was not able to provide a firm timeframe on when all services will be restored. They ask that anyone who continues to experience phone and/or internet outages contact their support line at 1-800-727-5835 (1-800-SASKTEL) to report any issues.
