Teachers typically have something fun planned for their students on the last day of school.
The team at Rossville School in Coleville takes that fun to the next level, with their annual end of year tradition of a makeshift water park provided by the Coleville Fire Department.

If you're a Rossville Racoon, a bathing suit is necessary when packing for the last day of school.
The fire truck pictured above showed up after 2:00 and connected to the fire hydrants, and by a quarter to three the water was flowing for not only students, but any Coleville residents who wanted to bring in the summer as well.

Principal Krystle Valliere joined the kids almost immediately, and while super soaked, took some time for an interview on the end of year tradition.
"I guess it's pretty uncommon nowadays, but our local volunteer fire department shows up, and the kids look forward to it every single year," said the principal and Grade 4-7 teacher. "They know as soon as 2:00 PM hits it's almost time for summer. We just have a lot of fun in the sun, with some water, and it's after a year of hard work and a good way to unwind."
Valliere hoped that leading by example would coax a few more staff members into the water. Dry space was at a premium.
"There is no safe place to stand on the field... you better watch out too." said Valliere to the reporter who didn't bring a change of clothes.

Rossville School's last week also included a BBQ, awards night centered around their "house teams", and staff and students also celebrated "Un-Birthdays", for students who were born during the summer.
