RCMP Serious Crime Branch is actively investigating the homicide which took place on June 22, 2025, on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. The investigation has identified a suspect. Brandon Munro (35), of no fixed address, is wanted for the second-degree murder of Isiah Cardinal (28), a resident of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating Munro.
Munro is described as:
- Blue eyes and black hair
- 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds
- Multiple face tattoos
- Last seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt with hood, and a mask
Munro is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. Munro was last seen on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
