A full slate of community events is on tap this July in Biggar, offering residents of all ages a chance to connect, create and keep active.

The Biggar Family Centre will continue to host its popular Clothing Exchange on July 5, 12 and 19, with additional programming throughout the month including Teen Group on July 11 and 25, Kids Craft Club and Tween Craft Club on July 15 and 29, as well as Toddler Craft Club and Adult Craft Club on July 20.

The Biggar Library has a creative lineup as well, featuring Spinning and Spilled Ink Society on July 8, PJ Storytime on July 10, Books and Banter and Teen Night on July 15, and a Senior Craft session on July 17.

At New Horizons, residents can look forward to regular Bingo on July 10 and 24, as well as a Potluck on July 14. Weekly activities at New Horizons include cards, kaiser, stitching, exercises, and group games—many of which are held multiple times per week.

The Prairie Art Road Trip, a popular local event showcasing regional artists and creators, will roll into Biggar on July 19.

For fitness enthusiasts, pickleball continues every Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at BCS, and every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Weekly Senior Walking/Exercise Groups meet at the Town Hall every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Fire practice is scheduled every Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Biggar Fire Hall, while the Biggar Museum will continue hosting art and archiving sessions each week.

Residents are encouraged to check with the Family Centre, Library and New Horizons for any additional updates or registration requirements.

With activities for toddlers to seniors and everyone in between, July in Biggar promises to be anything but quiet.
