Days Inn, a Canadian-owned hotel chain with a location in Steinbach, is making waves with a recent viral video.
After performing at a friend’s daycare as Elsa, Cass Wieler, hotel general manager, put the costume to another use.

“I figured why not come and make some (social media) content at the hotel? Everything is content,” says Wieler.
Wieler — or rather, Elsa — tours the hotel, showcasing the ice-cold amenities, perfect for the summer or any ice queen.
“What’s more fun than having Elsa spend a day at the hotel?”
The video follows Elsa as she tours the hotel, visits the Slurpee machine, throws ice into the hot tub and the pool before taking a dip.
“As Elsa would do,” says Wieler.
Let it go viral
Holly Rempel, social media coordinator for the Days Inn Steinbach location, says she posted the video on Friday, and by Monday, thousands had seen and commented on the post.
“It kept gaining another thousand (views) every time I refreshed... All of a sudden, we were getting hundreds of thousands of views,” Rempel says.
The video has not only caught the attention of the community, but also international celebrities, influencers, and even Disney Princesses.
“We’ve had authors, an SNL cast member, and the actual actors that play these princesses,” says Rempel.
Just for laughs
The video currently has over 600, 000 views, tens of thousands of shares, and never-ending joy.
Wieler and Rempel say though they have had some negative comments on the video, the good outweighs the bad.
“I want to live positively; I want to live life true to myself and just have a lot of fun and not care what other people think - especially people that don’t know you” says Wieler.
