Steinbach RCMP respond to plane crash

Media Release - July 8, 2025

On July 8, 2025, at 8:45 am, Steinbach RCMP were notified of a two-plane mid-air collision in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.

RCMP, fire department and Emergency medical services attended and located the wreckage of two small, single-engine aircraft, south of Steinbach.

The two pilots were pronounced deceased on scene.  There were no passengers aboard.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada was notified.

The scene is currently under investigation.
