Tuesday afternoon Brandt Street drive home traffic jam

Road resurfacing crews continue to work along Brandt Street south in Steinbach, causing travel delays for motorists this afternoon. 

Construction crews are directing traffic at all intersections along Brandt Street, including at Woodhaven and Reimer Avenue.

There is no turning west (right) off of Brandt Street south at either Woodhaven or Reimer Avenue. As well, there is no turning onto Brandt Street from Woodhaven or Reimer. 

Vehicles are also backed up along Giesbrecht Street heading south, as motorists try to avoid Brandt Street.

Paving crews are making their way towards McKenzie Avenue, hoping to finish resurfacing the southbound lanes today.
