Lloydminster man charged with sexual assault of 14-year-old girl

A 21-year-old Lloydminster man is facing multiple charges after RCMP allege he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl last month.

According to police, Lloydminster RCMP received a complaint on June 26 about the assault. The General Investigation Section took over the case, arrested the suspect and executed a search warrant at his home.

Tristan Lewis, 21, of Lloydminster has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Lewis was remanded into custody after appearing before a justice of the peace. He is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 17.
