At least a pair of senior baseball playoff games are on Thursday night around West Central, in the Fertile Valley, and North Saskatchewan River Baseball Leagues.
Starting in the FVBL, it's Rosetown's turn to host after the Angels travelled to Kindersley and beat the Cubs on Tuesday in Game 1 of their first-round best of three series. The close game was tied 3-3 in the middle innings until Rosetown used a big sixth inning to go up 7-3, one run being as close as the Cubs would get losing 7-6.
First pitch for Game 2 is at 7:00 PM in Rosetown, and the winner will meet the Oyen Eagles in the finals after they swept the Kindersley Stallions to remain undefeated on the season.

The Unity Cardinals finished the NSRBL regular season in first place at 13-1 and are taking on the 1-13 Mervin Flyers in the first round beginning tonight.
The Cardinals are still playing from their temporary home in Wilkie where they haven't lost all season long, looking to keep things going tonight in Game 1 at 6:30 PM. Game 2 of the series goes Tuesday, July 15 in Mervin, and if needed Game 3 would be back in Wilkie the next night.

The Macklin Lakers of the Battle River Baseball League finished first place and earned a playoff bye along with the second place Veteran Bulls. The Lakers are seeking their second straight title, and will be taking on either Czar, Amisk, or Castor in the first round.
The Coteau Hills Baseball League also has their postseason underway. Through one game each Beechy leads their series over Kyle, Wartime is leading Riverhurst, and Elrose is up 1-0 over Outlook. Dinsmore and Eston are the final series with no games yet reported.
