Leota Wyman Obituary
1925 ~ 2025 (age 99)
The family of Leota Viola Wyman sadly announce her passing on Tueday, July 8, 2025 at the age of 99 years, just a few months short of her centennial birthday.
Beloved wife of the late Ken Wyman; Loving mother of Doug (Vally) Wyman, the late John Wyman and Laura Wyman; and cherished grandmother of Wylie and Scott; and great grandmother of Andy.
Born in the township of Euphrasia, near Kimberley, ON to Willard and Eta Gilbert.
Leota lived in Kimberley till 1941, moved to Toronto, then came west by train in November 1944.
On December 31, 1946 she and Kenneth Wyman were married and they farmed in the Madison, Kindersley area until the fall of 1983. Son Doug was born in April 1948, John in August 1952 and Laura in September 1955.
Leota was a dedicated farmers wife, mother and took part in the community. She loved to play bridge with a wonderful group of ladies.
In 2002 she moved to Eatonia Oasis Living and enjoyed being there with a favorite pastime bird watching the feeder just outside her window, and visiting with her girls who cared for her.
There will be no service held for Viola at this time, but an inurnment will take place in the St. John's Cathedral Columbarium where Leota will join Ken.
