The City of Chestermere has mailed out property tax notices to residents.
The city announced on Tuesday (July 8) that the notices were mailed out, with the deadline for payments on July 31.
"While many residents will see an increase in their property tax bills this year, the city’s municipal residential tax rate remains unchanged at 3.25 per cent, and no funds will be drawn from reserves to offset provincial pressures," wrote the city on its website.
There are several ways to pay property taxes in the city, including electronic banking, by mail, in person, or online.
"For current year taxes that remain unpaid after the due date of July 31, a 7 per cent penalty will be applied on Aug. 1," added the city. "A 1.5 per cent penalty will be applied on the 1st of each month thereafter."
