Residents in Luseland should prepare for a temporary water shutoff on Wednesday, July 16, as the town completes upgrades to its water infrastructure.

New water shut-off valves and two fire hydrants will be installed during the planned work. The entire town will be without water for part of the day.

Water service is expected to be restored Wednesday evening for homes on Lonsdale Street and west of town, although an exact time has not been confirmed. The area around Russell Street, including Graham Place and the town’s east side, will remain without water until Thursday, July 17. Once the required work is completed, water service will be turned back on that evening.

A boil-water advisory will be in effect for all residents once water service resumes. The advisory will remain in place until lifted by the Water Security Agency.
