Mid-July brings games of all sorts. This weekend promises softball, pickleball, bike rides, community center games, and the Manitoba Stampede. Keep your eyes out for our Celebrate Summer jeep bouncing from event to event throughout the summer!

Eastman Wildcats Manitoba Provincials- Thursday, July 17th – Sunday, July 20th
The Eastman Wildcats are hosting U13 AAA Manitoba Provincials in Friedensfeld this weekend. There will be a canteen on site and the daily pass is only $10. Folks who attend the games will be showing support for the Wildcats in their pursuit of the provincial championship.
New Bothwell Pickle N’ Cheese Tournament- Saturday, July 19th- Sunday, July 20th
New Bothwell is hosting their first annual pickle and cheese pickleball tournament this weekend. This event will take place at the New Bothwell rink and includes 2 skill levels each with 3 divisions. A canteen will be open to fuel the players and community spirit will be high.

Manitoba stampede- Friday, July 18th – Sunday, July 20th
The Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition is taking place in Morris this weekend. With rodeo and chuckwagon events, the grounds will be packed. This three-day event also includes concessions, music, petting zoos, pony rides, and so much more. Check out a full schedule here for more information.
Strong Towns Bike Jam- Saturday, July 19th
Strong Towns is hosting another bike jam. Folks can join the ride from E.A. Friesen Park through Steinbach. The ride departs at 8:30 pm so be sure to show up 5 minutes beforehand.
Middlebro Games- Saturday, July 19th
Middlebro is having games and events at the Middlebro Community Hall on Saturday. The day starts with a Texas Holdem tournament from 10:30 am –3:00 pm, followed by grit and glory games at 5 pm. Grit and Glory games include voyager-themed activities, such as log sawing, leg wrestling, and tug of war.
Dawson Trek Ride - Saturday, July 19th
The Dawson trek begins in Winnipeg on Saturday morning. Bikers will ride through the 96km trail, seeing many communities throughout southeastern Manitoba. The ride ends east of Richer at the Eastman ATV drop-off point. This event raises money for the Dawson Trail Museum and allows cyclists to feel the history of the trail.
