The Hanover Kickers remain unbeaten at home, extending their winning streak to 6 games and with the win, they also slide into first place in the division with an incredible goals for of 32 goals and only 9 goals against, with the next closet team at 24 goals for.

Yesterday's game was a tight affair with United Punjab opening the scoring at the 3rd minute mark of the game.

Despite the score, Hanover held the majority share of possession throughout the half, but struggled to connect meaningful plays.

Finally, in the 42nd minute, a great play up and a perfect cross into the box by Markus Fast, was finished off by Zach Friesen.

The first half would end at 1-1.

The 2nd half opened much better for both teams, but the Kickers gained the upper hand just 2 minutes into the half with a pass into the box from Mitchell Martens to Zach Friesen, who potted his 2nd for the night.

He would then complete the hattrick just 4 minutes later to extend the lead to 3-1.

Jonathon Patterson would add a 4th and final goal in the 80th minute from another cross by Markus Fast.

United Punjab would pressure hard in the last 10 minutes, but strong defensive play resulted in the game ending at 4-1 for the Kickers.

With this win, Zach Friesen extends his scoring record to 11 goals on the season. As well, Liam Hodges continues to dominate in goal.

"It has been incredible to see the group coming together," said Brian Froese proudly after the match. "Although there is still work to do to clean up mistakes and sharpen our ball movement, we have been successful in finding wins against some of the tougher opponents in the division."

The Hanover Kickers next game will again be in Steinbach at the soccer park on the Penner International Field, on Tuesday at 7:15pm vs the current first place team SCMA.

"This will likely be our biggest test of the season," Froese declares. "I'd say it's a must game to watch, and we invite anyone to come out."
