This weekend literally went to the dogs and the cats as the local SPCA held their 3rd annual adopt-a-thon event yesterday at Dufresne Furniture.
Kash Knight with the SPCA provided details on all the fun activities that took place.
"You can come by to meet some adoptable pets. We will have several food and artisian vendors, you can even get a fine line tatoo if you like and the kids will be able to enjoy a bouncy house. We even have a donkey kissing booth going on so lots of fun stuff."
A raffle was also held for a Maytag Pet Pro Washer, donated by Dufresne which raised $1,880.
Knight thanked everyone that attended and also provided a reminder of items still in need.
"I think our biggest thing we are still looking for is adult dog food. We have a couple of favorite brands but really we will accept anything. We are running a little low as a couple of things have changed with the way we do our donations."
The SPCA are now gearing up for their 12th annual SPCA John Mueller Memorial Radiothon which will be taking place on August 9th.
