On July 15, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and Grande Prairie Rural General Investigation Section (GIS) observed a stolen truck driving recklessly through the city of Grande Prairie, resulting in surveillance of the truck. The driver was later taken into custody by Grande Prairie RCMP CRU with the assistance of Grande Prairie RCMP Drugs and Rural GIS.
As a result of the investigation, Quinton Di Guistini (28), a resident of Grande Prairie, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of stolen property under $5000;
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; and
- Failure to comply with release order (x2).
Di Guistini was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. He appeared before the Alberta Cout of Justice in Grande Prairie on July 21, 2025.
On July 15, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP CRU observed a suspect, known to be subject to court orders, including to remain at the residence, operating a stolen truck. A traffic stop was attempted but the truck fled at a high rate of speed and, due to concerns to public safety, the vehicle was not followed. The suspect was later located by Clairmont Lake, Alta., trying to spay paint the stolen truck. He was taken into custody by Grande Prairie CRU with assistance from Grande Prairie Rural GIS. Grande Prairie CRU also executed the 9 arrest warrants that had been issued for this individual.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher Lindgren (33), a resident of Bezanson, Alta., was charged with:
- Flight from police;
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
- Operation of motor vehicle while prohibited;
- Mischief over $5000;
- Possession of stolen property over $5000; and
- Failure to comply with release order (x9).
Lindgren was brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. He appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice on July 21, 2025.
