A Fog Advisory issued for Rocky View County near Airdrie and Crossfield has ended, after Environment Canada warned of near-zero visibility earlier Tuesday morning.
“Fog has developed this morning,” the agency had stated. “Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.”
The advisory remained in effect until late morning, with visibility improving as conditions cleared. Motorists were urged to use caution due to rapidly changing road conditions.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there remains a 30 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm. Airdrie’s forecast high is 24 C, with a humidex of 27 and a UV index of 7, or high.
Tonight is expected to be partly cloudy with continued storm risk before clearing late in the evening. Fog patches are forecast to return overnight. Low: 8 C.
Wednesday will bring sunshine, with early morning fog possible again. Winds will shift southeast at 20 km/h near noon. High: 26 C. Humidex: 30. UV index: 8, or very high.
Sunny conditions are forecast to continue Thursday and Friday with highs near 28 C. Showers are likely Friday night.
