Rosetown RCMP responded to a range of calls during the week of July 25 to 31, including a break and enter, multiple driving complaints, and assistance to stranded motorists.
Police were called to a rural property near Stranraer on the morning of July 27 following reports of a break-in. A zero-turn mower, side-by-side utility vehicle, and flat-deck trailer were stolen. Investigators are asking the public to come forward with any information related to the theft.
Earlier that weekend, RCMP responded to a noise complaint in Herschel late on July 25 but were unable to attend due to a higher priority call. That same night, members were called about a traffic complaint near Saskatchewan Landing, though the vehicle in question could not be located.
Several other traffic-related calls came in throughout the week, including erratic driving reports on Highways 4 and 7, and a deer-related collision near Elrose. In one case, officers located the vehicle and issued a verbal warning.
Rosetown RCMP also responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence in Rosetown early on July 27. The subject had left the area by the time police arrived.
Other calls included a stranded motorist on Highway 4, a suspicious person on Highway 7, and a separate driving complaint within Rosetown where a driver was warned.
In total, RCMP in the region laid 35 traffic-related charges and responded to multiple false alarms and 911 misdials.
Anyone with information about ongoing investigations is urged to contact the Rosetown RCMP detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
