The Saskatchewan Roughriders have some breathing room atop of the CFL's West Division after the Calgary Stampeders 31-11 loss against the Ottawa Redblacks on Thursday night, now looking to extend their league best record to 7-1 on Saturday in Montreal to end Week 9.

Behind a stellar month from quarterback Trevor Harris the Roughriders went 2-1 in July. Carrying a TD-INT ratio of 6-1 and completing over 70 per cent of his passes, Harris had 425 yards passing in a July 12 loss to Calgary, 395 yards the next week in a bounce back win against BC, and then 268 yards last week beating Edmonton.

The Alouettes are coming off a 23-21 win against Calgary, without the services of starting quarterback Davis Alexander who is on the team's 6-Game Injured List. The Roughriders will be more than happy to face backup McLeod Bethel-Thompson, not based off ability, but the fact that Alexander carved up the Roughriders for a second half comeback victory in Week 8 last year.

Kickoff will be at 5:00 PM, the second half of a Saturday doubleheader as Edmonton hosts Hamiton at 1:00 PM.

Week 9 continues tonight with Toronto in Winnipeg, one week after defeating the Blue Bombers at home 31-17.
