This year’s Heritage Day extends beyond Heritage Village into Muskoseepi Park, where two unique cultural celebrations add to the day’s festivities:
- Around the World in Bites, hosted by the Grande Prairie Intercultural Association, invites visitors to enjoy food from around the world, live music and dance performers, cultural exhibitions and interactive art activities. Families can explore the Kids Corner for $2 per child, featuring a bouncy castle, face painting, Lego and creative crafts.
- The Chariot Festival of Grande Prairie is an annual parade featuring a majestic hand-pulled chariot, traditional music, dance and a free vegetarian feast. Activities will start at the Montrose Cultural Centre at 10 a.m. with the parade procession starting around 11:15 a.m. and proceeding to Muskoseepi park for additional festivities.
