The event begins between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. from the Montrose Cultural Centre (MCC) parking lot. The procession travels south on 99 Street to 101 Avenue, west to 102 Street, then north on 102 Street to the pathway leading to the amphitheatre at Muskoseepi Park just before 102 Avenue. It is expected to take about three hours.

Detours

  • Drivers heading north or south on 100 Street, or east to north from 99 Avenue, are asked to use 98 Street.
  • Southbound traffic can use 105 Avenue eastbound to go around the procession.
  • Drivers who miss detour signage are redirected at 102 Avenue southbound and 100 Avenue northbound.

Closures

  • 99 Street is closed from the MCC parking lot to 101 Avenue near the start of the event.
  • 101 Avenue eastbound is restricted from 102 Street to 99 Street.
  • 101 Avenue westbound will be closed behind the procession and reopened as it clears the following intersection.
  • 100 Street and 102 Street remain open as long as possible, closing briefly when the procession passes (about 8 to 10 minutes).
  • Local Traffic Only signage is posted at 101 Avenue and 98 Street and at 103 Avenue and 98 Street.

Transit impacts

  • Transit routes continue to operate but may be delayed up to 15 minutes as buses wait for the procession to pass.
  • Route 8 may need to skip stop 838 at 1:41 p.m. (13:41).

Motorists and riders are encouraged to allow extra travel time and follow all signs and traffic control.
