Southeast Events Group (SEG) has announced a change in leadership.
Grant Lazaruk, who is President of SEG, says Jeffrey Bannon has departed as General Manager of the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach. The move took effect last Wednesday.
"He has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the company," says Lazaruk. "And we extend our sincere appreciation for his leadership and dedication to the centre."
Lazaruk says that during Bannon's tenure, SEG has achieved significant milestones, expanded its event portfolio, and strengthened its operational capabilities.
"We are grateful for the positive impact he has made and wish him continued success in his future endeavours," adds Lazaruk.
In the interim, Michelle Bezditny will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations while the company initiates the search for a new General Manager. Lazaruk says they are committed to ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining the high standard of service that the community and partners expect.

"The Southeast Events Group remains focused on delivering exceptional experiences and continuing our mission to bring people together," he adds. "We thank our donors, sponsors, partners, and staff for their operating support during this transition."
Bannon was hired in 2024.
Meanwhile, grand opening celebrations for the Southeast Event Centre will take place on Thursday, August 21.
