The Riverbank Rodeo is bringing the heat to Outlook this weekend, and you can bet there will be plenty of fun to be had. August 8th and 9th mark the return of the 6th Annual Riverbank Rodeo, and this year comes with some exciting changes.
For the first time, the rodeo is being held in a new location, just south of the Jim Kook Recreation Complex. Don’t worry about finding it, thanks to some hard work by the organizing team, you can simply search “Riverbank Rodeo Arena Outlook” on Google Maps and it’ll lead you right there.
Once you arrive, you can expect all the rodeo favorites: bull riding, roping, barrel racing, and more. For the younger crowd, there’s mutton busting, mini bull riding, and even buckle prizes up for grabs. If things heat up or you’re looking for a family break, the community pool next door is offering free swims all day. There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy, all leading up to the main rodeo performances, which begin at 7:00 PM.
The fun doesn't stop there, there’s also live music, with the cabaret featuring Lenny and the Gypsies, a Saskatchewan band known for their mix of classic country and rock. It promises to be a well-rounded, high-energy show.
And make sure you stick around for a special announcement on Saturday night. No spoilers here, you’ll have to be there in person to find out what’s in store!
Christian Moulding with the Outlook Riverbank Rodeo shared his gratitude for the community’s support,
“This is our first year in the new location. It’s been a lot of work and frankly, a lot of cost to get here. We couldn’t have done it without our sponsors. It would mean a lot to see everyone come out and support us. I think we’ve got a great weekend lined up.”
