The annual Strathmore Stampede Parade took place over the weekend.

The parade featured over 100 floats, one of the largest turnouts in Stampede history.

Tyler Hille, CEO of Rocket Grid Marketing, expressed happiness with the way the parade went.

"It was a fantastic weekend. We're really happy with the way everything turned out, the way the community came together, as it always does at Stampede, which was cool to see."

This was the first year that Rocket Grid Marketing took on the parade, taking over from the Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce.

"I think we really pulled it together. We started early; we handled it the way we would any sort of client project. We built it into our project management system, and we just started assigning tasks and due dates. I think we did really well," explained Hille.

The parade also featured prizes for the top three floats.

The winners were:

  • Wheatland Square Dancers received $1,000.
  • Active Solutions for Health received $500.
  • Expressions Dance Gallery received $250.

Cody Holdaway, an employee with Rocket Grid Marketing, was happy about the way the community showed up/

"The parade was a great display of everything Strathmore has to offer. Love, local shop, local. We had an elderly couple stop by the office yesterday to ask about one of the parade floats so they could support their business."

Rocket Grid Marketing is looking at organizing the parade again and hoping to expand the parade route.
