The Saskatoon Berries used a big offensive performance on Thursday night to tie up their Western Canadian Baseball League East semi-final series against the Moose Jaw Miller Express. The Berries went on the road for Game 2 and won 15-6, sending the series back to Saskatoon tonight.

With four runs in the second, and six in the fifth inning, the Berries exploded for a 10-0 lead into the middle innings. Saskatoon scored another three in the top of the sixth to go up 13-0 before Moose Jaw got on the board to make it 13-3. A run before the seventh inning stretch, and then another in the top of the eighth made it 15-3 for the Berries as Moose Jaw scored three runs late for the 15-6 final score.

Carter Beck was the tone setter for Saskatoon going 3/6 and collecting 4 RBI from the leadoff spot. The Berries had 13 hits total in the game, and Muenster product Merek Yeager picked up the win allowing only three hits across six innings.

The winner of tonight's Game 3 will play the Regina Red Sox, who completed a sweep of Medicine Hat last night, in the WCBL's East final. The Okotoks Dawgs have advanced to the West final after a sweep against Brooks, awaiting the winner of Sylvan Lake and Lethbridge who play Game 2 tonight with Sylan Lake having the early edge.
