Package theft prompts safety reminder from Luseland Police

The Luseland Police Service are urging residents to take steps to protect their parcels after a confirmed theft at a home in early August.

Officials say being home for deliveries, arranging for a trusted person to pick up packages immediately, tracking deliveries closely or requesting an alternate drop-off location can help reduce the risk of theft.

The service recommends deterrents such as well-lit entryways and security cameras pointed at common delivery spots, including porches and front doors.

Anyone who notices suspicious activity is asked to contact their local police or RCMP detachment.
