Three different senior baseball provincial tournaments are taking place this weekend around Saskatchewan. Tier 2 play is going down in Assiniboia, Tier 3 is in Carnduff, and Tier 4 in Hanley as the Baseball Saskatchewan provincial calendar comes to a close.
Starting with the Tier 3 tournament in Carnduff, the Battle River Baseball League champion Macklin Lakers are travelling nearly 900 km to try and add a provincial banner to their accomplishments in 2025.
The Lakers are one of five teams, joining the Redvers Athletics, North East Red Sox, South East Diamondbacks, and host Carnduff Astros.

The Rosetown Angels are one of six teams in Hanley for Tier 4 provincials. Rosetown is in Pool "B" with the Regina Red Dogs and Gull Lake Greyhounds, while Pool A consists of the hometown Hanley White Sox, Pasquia Angels, and Central Sask Cannons.
The Angels haven't played since losing in the Fertile Valley Baseball League championship and will look to use their freshness to their advantage this weekend.

Finishing with Tier 2, the Cabri River Rats and NSRBL champion North Battleford Beavers are the two semi-local teams in the mix, joining the host Assiniboia Aces and Findlater Braves.

The Carlyle Cardinals took home Tier 1 provincials last weekend in Saskatoon. The Unity Cardinals nearly joined them in the final but lost in the semi-finals on Sunday, as you can read more about their provincial, and league title run that both fell just short below.
