Herman Friesen, 91, of Winnipeg passed away Thursday, July 31st at St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by 1 daughter, 1 son, and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, and 4 brothers.
The funeral service for Herman Friesen will be held Tuesday, August 12th at 11am at Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue, with burial at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the church prior to the service.

Herman (Wally) Friesen
Peacefully with his family by his side, Herman (Wally) Friesen passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, on July 31, 2025, at the age of 91 years old. He is survived by his children, Sharon (Ken) Lambrecht, Darren (Mechelle) Friesen; grandchildren, Melissa (Braeden) Debroni, Dusty Friesen, Evan Lambrecht, Garrett Lambrecht, and Nyle Friesen; nine great grandchildren, Allison, Harmony, Solara, Draco, Zane, Carter, Isabella, Grace, and Olivia; sisters, Kay, Marie, Lydia, and Martha; brothers, Jake, Andrew, Ruben; four sisters-in-law; Elizabeth’s siblings, Hilda, Helen, Elma, Barb, Steve, and sister-in-law Ruth, and by his very special girlfriend Linda Richardson and her family.
Herman was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 2012, parents Peter W. and Tina Friesen; brothers, Pete, Menno, Charley and Ben, Elizabeth’s parents Corneilus and Elizabeth Enns and brothers-in-law, John Enns and Herman Penner.
Funeral Service for Herman will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Ave., Winnipeg, with viewing prior to service. Interment at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to MCC.
