Two men are facing numerous charges following a drug trafficking investigation led by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Battlefords Crime Reduction Team-Gang Task Force (CRT-GTF), part of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT).

On July 30, 2025, officers from the Battlefords CRT-GTF and the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) executed a search warrant at a residence on Heibert Crescent in Martensville. During the search, police seized a sawed-off shotgun, a replica firearm, cocaine, suspected MDMA, and other evidence related to drug trafficking. An adult male and female were arrested at the scene.

That same day, search warrants were also executed at a business near the intersection of Highway 16 and Poundmaker Trail and a residence on St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford. At the business, officers seized a loaded shotgun, a replica firearm, cocaine, suspected MDMA, and further drug trafficking evidence. No evidence of drug trafficking was found at the residence on St. Laurent Drive.

Further into the investigation, an adult male was arrested in North Battleford while in a vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded semi-automatic rifle, a loaded sawed-off rifle, cocaine, cash, and additional drug trafficking evidence.

In total, police seized four illegal firearms, three of which were loaded, two replica firearms, 246 grams of suspected MDMA, 55 grams of cocaine, and 36 grams of psilocybin.

“The SERT program, including the Battlefords CRT-GTF, continues to provide invaluable support to the detachment’s efforts in decreasing violent crime,” said Insp. Ryan How, Battlefords RCMP Detachment Commander. “Our officers and residents are safer any time illegal guns and illicit drugs are seized.”

As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Brandon Corbeil of Martensville and 34-year-old Brendon Brown of North Battleford face six counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Brandon Corbeil faces additional charges including possession of a weapon while prohibited, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm while knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited weapon while knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition without a licence or registration, and failure to comply with a release order condition. Corbeil was also wanted on outstanding warrants for assault, failure to comply, and failure to attend court.

Brendon Brown faces multiple charges including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited weapon while knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition without licence or registration, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Both Corbeil and Brown appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on July 31, 2025.

Separately, a 23-year-old woman from Martensville, Maddison Dziadul, was charged following the investigation by the North Battleford CRT-GTF. She faces six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, as well as several firearm-related charges, including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm while knowing possession is unauthorized, and possession of a restricted firearm or prohibited weapon with ammunition without proper licence or registration. Dziadul is scheduled to appear in court on September 15, 2025.

The adult female initially arrested at the Martensville residence was released without charges.

The investigation involved assistance from multiple units, including the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Crime Reduction Team (CRT), Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT), Battlefords General Investigation Section (GIS), Serious Violent Offender Response (SVOR), as well as Warman and Saskatoon RCMP detachments.

The investigation remains ongoing.
