Chestermere presents several musicians at free annual Music Fest

Hundreds of people were at the Chestermere Summer Music Fest over the weekend.

The free festival took place at John Peake Memorial Park on Saturday (Aug. 9) between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. and featured several local artists, including:

• Greg Vardy Band
• Brandon Lorenzo Band
• Selena in YYC
• JG n' the District
• Lauren Mayell
• Jared Daniel
• Sparrow Blue

Although parking was closed at John Peake Park, the Chestermere Library, and the boat launch, free shuttles were moving around town to help residents make it out to the festival.

There were other family-friendly activities at the event, including market vendors, wagon rides, and a Kids Zone.

 Jared Daniel returned to the stage after performing at last year's Summer Music Fest.

The annual event is hosted by the City of Chestermere and serves as an opportunity for residents to come together as a community.
